TYPES OF ASSISTANCE

Grants made to organisations, schools, places of worship, sports clubs, welfare providers, hospitals and hospices and other local charities are almost always one off amounts to assist with equipment or the development and repair of facilities.

Grants to individuals are usually to assist with the pursuit of further education, advancement in their sport and the development of excellence in the arts.

GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS:

These may consist of such things as assistance for:-

  • The development and improvement of sporting facilities.
  • The purchase of sports equipment.
  • The provision of learning facilities.
  • The provision of medical equipment.

GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS:

These may consist of such things as:-

  • Assistance for maintenance costs to study for a higher degree or level of training.
  • Assistance to provide a computer, books or other study equipment.
  • Assistance to train for a higher standard in sport.
  • Assistance to develop advanced skills in the arts.
  • Assistance with the publication of local historical books and leaflets.
